MISTAKES ARE HUMAN
10.18.2015
Mistakes are human
May unravel your self-worth
Only with consent
With submission of
The true self you’ve come to know
If you allow it
Your compassion spent
On each character written
Your work was his gift
Angry, seething soul
Desperate to take you down
Put you in your place
You descend from the
Weight of his words into the
Dark well of self-hate
Falling fast, you watch
Yourself, asking, what happened?
From within you hear
“I believed the man.”
Free fall stops. You are gliding
Mistake you are not
Man used anger to
Fill his emptiness, blinded
To your work, his gift
