NONE OF OUR CONCERN
None of our concern
Our opinion of others.
Given a reprieve
From reprimand for
Doing the bare minimum
Of expectations.
On the lowest tier
Of performance scale, even
Though trust is advanced.
What mean the dark thoughts
Which make our bodies tremble,
And breed our contempt
For another man?
One we deem wrong while other
Offers grace and time
To change. But we view
Such change as empty. Spineless
Is the will we see.
As the substance is
Demanded. Mined from outer
Source, not the inner.
Why coach to amend
Less than stellar efforts, which
To them are okay?
What’s in it for us
To judge and seek reprisal?
Why are we damning?
Failure is ours by
Overlooking their birth rite
Who they really are.
Forget not the lore
Of the Vineyard. Care not of
Mercy imparted.
‘Tis not our concern.
Trust another’s honest toil
For it is their best
At that same moment.
Accept what they have to give.
Rekindle the light.
