A break in the clouds
Allowing fissures of light
To cross the darkness.
A hint less fervent
Unraveling the despair
From out of nowhere.
Enough to breathe in
A gulp of hope, shift light to
Where faith has faded.
Readying to stop
Spirit from suffocating -
A self, gripped by fear.
A break in the clouds
A bridge to traverse peril
Our return to light.
